You configure email forwarding in your own email account, not in HubDesk. Exactly how this is done depends on the email provider you're using. A number of email providers allow you to create email forwarding rules so that you can select the incoming mail that should be forwarded to your HubDesk account.

HubDesk does not support multi-forwarding, or forwarding that goes through multiple locations before being sent to the HubDesk support address. In the event that multi-forwarding is configured, the requester will be the first address that HubDesk can find in the Reply:To or From: fields in the email headers. This could produce inconsistent results and is not supported.

You can receive support requests at a Gmail or Google Workspace account, and forward them to your HubDesk email address.

Automatically forwarding emails from your Gmail account

With Gmail, you can choose to forward all of your new messages to another email address, or only forward certain types of messages.

Redirecting incoming emails to another email account

You can add an alias to an email address to route incoming emails from one address to another. For example, you might have an employee leave your organization, but you still need to make sure that you don’t miss any messages from your customers.

Office 365 or

You can receive support requests at an Outlook email account, and forward it to your HubDesk email address.

This works with email addresses using both and Outlook hooked into an Exchange server.

Forwarding email from Microsoft Exchange

To forward email to HubDesk using Outlook hooked in to an Exchange server, you can set up a redirect rule. To do so, follow the instructions in Microsoft Outlook: Automatically forward my messages to another e-mail account.
